Nonviolent Communication (NVC)

20 and 21 April 10.00 – 18.00 uur

Do you want to improve your communication skills and learn to create and re-create closeness, intimacy, mutual care & love?

A weekend workshop dedicated to you and the people you love:

“Nonviolent Communication (NVC)”

No matter if you are a parent, friend, boss, colleague, neighbor or a partner- there is one important thing you will definitely need to master- Communication.

In this workshop we will learn and explore:

* How to be radically honest but not judgmental? How to stand for our needs without stepping on others?

* How to express and hear “No” without hurting or being hurt?

* What is the power of Empathy, and how to connect to people no matter how they express themselves?

* How to deal with anger, hurt and long lasting frustrations? How to find freedom and free ourselves from guilt?

During the course we will learn how to apply and experience the ‘NVC’ principles in our relationships- partners, children, family, friends, and at work. Through exercises and role- playing, participants will be invited to work with real-life situations (conflicts with our loved ones as well as internal conflicts and blockages) and practice how to approach them in a different and healing way.

‘Nonviolent Communication’: is a dynamic language that is based on Honesty and Compassion- it recognizes the source of misunderstanding and conflicts and is a concrete “HOW TO” creating understanding, natural care, cooperation and harmony moment by moment. ‘Nonviolent Communication’ transforms motivation based on fears, guilt and shame into motivation based on choice and the free will to contribute to one another. It emphasizes taking personal responsibility for our own feelings. ‘Nonviolent Communication’ supports us, over and over again, to connect to people; to hear, behind all the words and behaviors, what the other is trying to express to us, even if it comes with anger, blame and judgments.
