Bij het tweede concert van “Helende Geluiden” komt Mohamed Ahaddaf zijn nieuwste Andalusische composities spelen op de ud. Al op jonge leeftijd werd Mohamed ontdekt door de beroemde dirigent Ben larbi Temsamani om bij zijn orkest te komen spelen. In 1997 toerde hij met dit orkest door Europa. Hij werd in Amsterdam geraakt door de bruisende cultuur, waarna hij besloot in Amsterdam te gaan werken en wonen. Op deze middag speelt hij nieuwe en al bestaande composities van zijn hand. Rustgevende lyrische Arabische composities die je meevoeren op een verre reis, voor even neemt Mohamed je mee naar Egyptische Piramides, surrealistische landschappen en fraaie vergezichten.
Mohamed wordt bijgestaan door Emad Ghaddjou op percussie. Een virtuoos die al vanaf jonge leeftijd diverse percussie instrumenten bespeelt.
Tijdens het concert is het mogelijk in een meditatie piramide te zitten. Dit heeft een helend effect op lichaam en geest.

Mohamed Ahaddaf is a talented lutist, born in 1975 in Tetouan (Morocco). In this cultural Moroccan city he successfully graduated at the conservatory. It wasn’t long before his talents were noticed by one the most well known Moroccan conductors, Mohammed larbi Temsamani, who selected him for the famous orchestra of Tetuoan.
In 1994, Ahaddaf was chosen to participate with the Andalouse selection, an orchestra composed of the best musicians of Morocco, conducted by Mohammed Briouel. His international career started in 1997, together with a band lead by Mohamed El Amin Akrami he played traditional lute music of Andalusia origin in several cities in Europe, like Sevilla, Cadiz, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels and Amsterdam.
After this European success Ahaddaf decided to enlarge his musical career in the Netherlands, where he played together with big names such as Abderahim Souiri, Latifa Raafat and Ba Jeddoub. In addition he participated in the show “Sherazade”, where he played in many great Dutch theaters together with Frank Groothof en Hakim Traidia. Besides his career in the orchestra’s and theaters, Ahaddaf composed sounds for the Dutch filmindustry.
