An Australian living in Holland, Sara has been practicing yoga regularly since 1997. It was through an ongoing back condition that she later found the real benefits of the Iyengar system, the detailed instruction combined with the emphasis on alignment aided her recovery. Inspired she went onto become a certified teacher. She continues to study frequently with her senior teachers and has been fortunate to travel to India and England to study directly with the Iyengar family.

With warmth and enthusiasm she creates a space for students to feel safe and yet sometimes challenged. Balancing action with relaxation. Encouraging students to move their attention inwards, focusing on the body and breath while cultivating their own ‘self awareness’. This awareness is one of the great gifts of yoga that we can take directly into our lives, helping to develop our true potential and enabling us to live our lives fully.

“Yoga is for cultivating the head and the heart” – B.K.S Iyengar
